This is an amazing metallic thread fukuro obi with a patchwork design. Note that the patchwork patches are sewn together and not printed onto the fabric. The Japanese motif patches are woven in silk threads on various backgrounds. Typically, about 70% of the front is patterned and the remainder consists of a cream silk. The reverse is also a cream silk. It would look terrific as a wall hanging, a table runner or across the end of a bed. This obi does not have a stiff inner core.
