This is an unusual fukuro obi woven with colourful silk and metallic threads. The traditional elaborate motif designs are woven in silk and metallic threads on a black silk background. Typically, about 70% of the front is patterned and the remainder consists of black silk. The reverse is also black silk. It would look terrific as a wall hanging, a table runner or across the end of a bed. This obi does not have a stiff inner core.
