This is a lovely fukuro obi woven with silk and metallic threads. The fan designs are woven in metallic and silk threads on a metallic bronze background. Typically, about 70% of the front is patterned and the remainder consists of brown silk. The reverse is also brown silk. It would look terrific as a wall hanging, a table runner or across the end of a bed. This obi does not have a stiff inner core.
