This is a lovely fukuro obi woven with silk and metallic threads. The crane designs are woven in gold and silver threads on a metallic gold background. Typically, about 70% of the front is patterned and the remainder consists of old gold silk. The reverse is also old gold silk. It would look terrific as a wall hanging, a table runner or across the end of a bed. This obi does not have a stiff inner core.
