Sample bolts were a pre-curser to fabric sample books in Japan. They were produced by fabric manufacturers for shop keepers and kimono makers to show their customers to make fabric selection an easier process. This sample bolt is based on a very fine cream silk crepe. Each of the 22 designs is based on geometric designs and all are different. The bolt is 5.5 metres in length. This bolt has many patchwork and quilting opportunities,would be lovely to display and would also be great for home/fashion projects. Note that this bolt has been cut in one place and one piece may have been removed.
